IDD & Autism Respite
You are the primary caregiver for someone with an intellectual or developmental disability, and you have not had a real break in longer than you can remember.
Planned respite with attendant support, so families and primary caregivers can step away knowing the routine holds.
What care can include
- Planned respite, scheduled in advance around your life
- Personal assistance and supervision within the authorized scope of care
- Caregivers matched for temperament, interests, and routine
- A written routine sheet so the day runs the way the family runs it
How we pay for it

- Medicaid waiver respite where authorized
Details on each option are on the Paying for Care page.
What we do not do
- Non-skilled attendant care and supervision only, within our Class B license.
- We do not provide behavioral therapy, skilled nursing, or medical treatment.
- The specific support depends on the individual's needs, care arrangements, and applicable authorization.

Questions about idd & autism respite
How do you match a caregiver for respite?+
We start with a conversation about the person's routine, interests, sensitivities, and what a good day looks like. Then we match for temperament first and schedule a meet-and-greet before the first respite block.
Can respite be recurring?+
Yes. Many families set a standing block, for example every Saturday afternoon, so the break is planned rather than emergency-only.
